Recognition of Prior Learning Project Update

Visit of Consultants Dan McFaull and Taruna Goel 

The Automotive Sector Council welcomed to Nova Scotia our Consultants on the Recognition of Prior Learning project, Tire and Maintenance Technician Certification, to a lunch meeting of the Technical Working Group (TWG). This hard- working group of 8 industry representatives have developed the competencies for the occupation and are currently working diligently on developing the evaluation and assessment of the competencies.  Earlier in the day, Dan and Taruna met with the ASC staff to review the final document, RPL Program Models for Competency Assessment and Recognition which outlines the framework and recommendations for the automotive industry RPL projects in NS.
