Apprenticeship Award of Excellence recipient Shirley Mitchell

The Automotive Sector Council is so proud to have nominated Board Member Shirley Mitchell of Coast Tire & Auto Service for the NS Apprenticeship Award of Excellence. The award is presented annually to a person or organization that has made an “outstanding contribution” to the apprenticeship and trades qualifications system in Nova Scotia. The Nova Scotia Apprenticeship Agency recognizes the importance and investment of the industry employers, journeypersons, and mentors who believe in apprenticeship training and understand its value to both apprentices and businesses that contribute to the prosperity of the province. The Apprenticeship Award of Excellence are presented by the Agency to recognize exceptional individuals who have demonstrated: ingenuity, engagement and leadership in advancing apprenticeship training and the trades qualifications system. The Award is presented annually for outstanding achievement in advancing apprenticeship training and the strategic goals of the Nova Scotia Apprenticeship Agency by changing the culture to be inclusive, connected and industry-led.
